... about them. So far, my experience with them has been great. They even have a Facebook fan page so I can try and connect with other travelers.
After I'm done volunteering, my cousin is joining me for a few days to relax and explore Costa Rica's beauty. Between now and then, I have to brush up on my Spanish, especially "Costa Rican" Spanish.
I know these next few months will fly by, and that's ok with me!
Until next time,

We finally moved on and we haven't even hit half of the continental states yet! What a big country this is. We headed to Wisconsin, famous for cheese! Our first stop was Appleton – not famous for apples – for the international premier of the film The Age of Stupid. This film is about climate change looking from a future perspective. An interesting, thought provoking film.

... loads of birds. Also loads of curious little chipmunks (I want one!). We went on a walkng trail and then headed for a drive up the side of Lake Michigan. There were loads of gorgeous houses and they are massive too. After the drive we went into downtown Green Bay which is quite small and quiet and took a walk down by the river.

... to go overseas. This was exactly how I imagined my first trip. Tons of 'touristy" traps and a few added bonus activities. Everytime I travel, I fall in love with traveling all over again. God has made such an amazing creation, so diverse. Best of all, God blessed the relationship between me and my brother! I could not imagine this trip without him. I can't think of many people who would want to ...

After about ten hours of riding, I arrived into Appleton, Wi at about 730pm. Mrs. Haines had dinner warmed and ready. It was soooo good!! After dinner she took me over to Renee's house for a visit with her and her family.
Tomorrow I will take off about 7am to try and get to the Harley Davidson museum before opening at 9am. After maybe an hour at the museum, I will head out toward Cleveland.
Well, I've started this travel blog a little prematurely, but I'm too excited to keep everything quiet. Trisha and I have officially started saving for our world travel adventure which will begin on the 6th of April 2010. Still deciding exactly where to start our trip and how it's all going to work out. All I know is that it WILL happen. 9 months to go. Until then this blog will help me organize my thoughts, ideas and potential travel destinations. Can't wait to get started.
... jumper of a plane. NOT good for me. I really hope this next flight goes better. 9 hours on a plane, not gonna lie, kinda scares me. Floyd has been having a lot of fun with me. We've been exploring the airport. Ok, well there's about another hour before we board.
... that I had framed at Hobby Lobby. They were from an art gallery in Tangier, and they turned out fantastic! Now I just need to figure out where to hang them.
I'm also working on a video thing in Windows Media that hopefully will encompass some photos, podcasts and video that I took. I'm not sure when I'll have it done, but for now it will be a work in progress.
Finally, I decided that from now on any traveling I do will be for a purpose or ...
... I also didn't know who was Idol's Top three (and I'm not surprised) or that Brett Favre was considering playing for the ViQueens. Wow! Everything looked normal in my house, with the exception of the huge stack of mail sitting on my table, as well as the moldy apple sitting in my fruit basket. I unpacked most of my stuff, did a load of laundry and decided to "lay down" for awhile, which turned into an 11-hour sleep-fest. Kelly was right beside me, so she ...

We are so excited to take this adventure, and I am also especially excited to be able to spend these two-plus weeks with my daughter before she leaves me to go off to college! I consider this a gift of her time to me, and I am really looking forward to sharing this experience with her. So--I can check in in just one more hour! We're counting down. I wish I was packed........
