The adventure begins! We closed up the house, packed the computer, loaded the car and headed to Colorado Springs. After running a few errands, we took Skippy to a park so that he could run and play and we could spend some quality time with the little guy. We went to dinner and then ...

Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States jasonmarshToday Frank stayed home to make us his famous pork chili. Takes hours of love and we were all grateful. Antonio went for another long marathon training run. Chuck, Hector & Diana went foraging for Jack In The Box, an Apple store and a double feature ;) "Couples Retreat" & "Whip It" both good and more importantly cheap. Only $6.50 and you know we did the 2 fer 1 cause we're geto(boys) like that. Made it back to home base in time to see Dollhouse and feast on dinner. Great day for all.

Loveland, Colorado, United States colorado_skiDad and Bern let me sleep in until about 10AM this morning...I definitely should've drank water while I was enjoying those alcoholic beverages last night! Big fail there! I was moving pretty slow but I managed to shower, eat some oatmeal and we got on our way.

We drove about an hour or so to Colorado Springs and passed the Air Force Academy on the way. After we got off the highway in C. Springs, we passed thru THE ...
Cascade, Colorado, United States kimmytravels... hit a little more rain once we got in town, but the locals say it rains every afternoon so it's no big deal. We are headed to toward Tuscon, AZ tomorrow morning after we hit Pike's Peak around 8am local time. Keep up on facebook for pictures and more news.
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States trackstar8502Daniel here again, OK, might as well get this over with to start. YES we did get rained on again We were riding back from Santa Fe and hit a small 2 minute shower. It wasn't as bad as most but we did get wet. The good thing about riding the speed limit, which is 75 mph out here, is that you tend to completely dry off in the next couple of miles. On this ride we passed through a number of Indian reservations. There was the Sioux, Utes, Navajo, Hopi, Apache and the ...
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States ridewithjoe... to admit that I didn't stray of the paths, I think after my "rattler" encounter I'm much more safety conscious. [ We finished the day with a look at Seven Falls, another of the area's "attractions" The publicity material made it sound quite spectacular, " The high point of any trip to Colorado, the grandest mile of scenery..." so we thought we shouldn't miss it. The falls cascade 181' in seven distinct steps down a solid cliff.
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States malbet... was "the sushi den" on pearl st. I have to agree with the reviews, that was some really good sushi! Considering it was a Wednesday night, the crowd in there was jumping. Brian was slightly delayed getting in to town; I picked him up at 11PMish and we headed back to the hotel. We proceeded to get lost somewhere around DU looking for a place that was serving food past midnight. Somehow I got my bearings back from the one drive that I had made ...
