... meeting in Long Island I drove back via Penn and Ohio then back up to Muskegon Michigan to catch the ferry back to the OC (Oak Creek). It was a nice little trip that I will definitely do again when I have more time to spend at the various way points. And BTW … absolutely No problems with the bike!! That’s two East trips with no problems – against two/south & West trips with two problems! I’m looking to break the streak on this ...
... and Hofbrau Delikator (double bock). I had a glass of Riesling. Larry had a German Bratwurst on a Pretzel Roll with sauerkraut. Derek and I shared the Wurst Platter which had three kinds of sausage, red cabbage, sauerkraut, German potato salad and we added a side of spatzle. All three of us shared a home made apple streudel. It was the perfect ending to a very good meal. We walked back to the hotel, blogged, watched TV, checked email and went to bed.
... when things really start kicking up a notch! The place was packed now, and there were queues for things! I think they had an opening fireworks show and stuff, and all the well known bands were coming on later (I think they had Meatloaf and Peter Gabriel was the headliner).
Anyway, my musical thirst was saturated so I decided to call it a night.
It is an epic festival to say the least, well worth a visit if you're ever in Milwaukee...which I'm sure you will ...
