Leaving Walmart, Joplin this morning we travelled along Route 66 through Missouri and in to Kansas. There is only 13 miles of R66 in Kansas, so it doesn't take us long to drive through this corner of the state. Along the way we drive through Galena where we caught up with Mater (from the Cars Movie) and some of his friends, then on to Riverton, over the Rainbow Arch bridge, where we stopped for photos, then on to Baxter Springs, the place ...

The nice people at the Y let me get in a nice 2 mile jog on the treadmill (something I have yet to do on this trip and man it showed!) and now to shower at the church before another host-provided meal potluck style :) That's a wrap! 9 straight bike days start tomorrow! Special shout out to Anthony--Happy 23rd ...

... case of our game today, all 20 people, loses. So, so much fun. Later I packed up and organized my things, wrote some postcards, chatted with my roommates at this church (Kim and Katie), watched some more Orange is the New Black (because of how tired I am and how much there is to do, I can only watch things in like ten minute increments), and now here I am blogging. That's all for tonight! xxA Quotes: -Full tang -Spoons not Forks -What if their houses were however we cut them (re: ...

... 28mph and each of us taking turns leading the pack. I was keeping back and learning how this was going to play out, as well as panting for dear life trying to fathom how I was going to do this for 40mi. Once I did finally go up to the front, it was on a hill and a truck went by and hit a dead raccoon, guts squirting onto me. What can I say, I like to provide entertainment for my fellow pace mates. I must say, although funny, it ...
