Lincoln (sometimes called "Honest Abe") spent most of his life in the state of Illinois, so I did not know that he was born in Kentucky until I studied for our map blog! He was a country boy who was born in a one-room log cabin, but he grew up to be one of our country's ...

The day is FINALLY here!! My countdown timer, built for me by my incredibly talented hubby, was over 300 days when it started. It is now down to less than 2 hours! I have already threatened to dump everything out of suitcases so that I can the dogs with me but I am pretty sure the dogs would have a different view ...
