... a tropical storm between us and Florida. Landed in Miami... Straight away saw Douglas Mello... was pretty surprised. Then his wife Kendra walked up and I realized, ohhh this is the lady that was nice enough to let me out of my row on the plane!! (was focused on getting off the plane)

For anyone that has a shy bladder.... the Miami International Airport is not for you! All I can say, is pee on the plane before you land!!

Miami to Orlando flight was looking good, two ...
Hamilton Parish, Bermuda marshallbda... but didn't manage to go to the beach which has pink sand apparently. Went back to the ship by ferry and it was good to get "home". Beautiful houses with white roofs and pastel coloured outsides, sometimes very bright colours as well. the waters are so clear even in the harbour where there are lots of boats and you would expect a bit of polution, there is none.
Left Bermuda at night and is was a pretty departure.
Bermuda, Bermuda stephgraemeWe didn't actually experience this day! The only way it exists to us is in the form of a UK newspaper we found in a little post office on the Island of Waiheke.

So if you did anything bad today, you're let off the hook.

(We weren't actually in Bermuda by the way)
Bermuda, Bermuda stephanie813... where we sampled 5 or 6 different kinds of rum cake. We picked up a small original rum cake for about $12.00. I must admit, I never thought I would buy a cake to bring back home, but it was just that good, yum....

We picked up the ferry at the Dockyard and left again for St.George. We arrived around 2:00 pm and began looking for lunch. Our guidebook, frommers, suggested the White Horse, it looked busy from the outside so we decided to venture in. Ask for an ...
St. George, Bermuda tricia.searsToday we enjoyed some more snorkeling. I wish we could put the pictures of the fish online, but we took them with a waterproof disposable camera, so we won't have them until we get back. The water here is absolutely gorgeous. We've never seen anything like it. The area we went to today was called Church Bay. It was great, but the waves beat us to death. They weren't very big, but there was just tons of them. It was supposed to be a "relatively calm ...
St. George, Bermuda beckymike... away too quickly now, and we must get back to cabana #15 to finish packing before the airport shuttle arrives.

Over at the lobby, we spend some time relaxing and uploading photos to the travel journal. We're greeted by Robin, the general manager at 9 Beaches. He is very pleasant to talk with and gives us a br ief history of the facility. The previous ...
Somerset, Bermuda globetrotters... before having to do the muster drill, which went by quickly. We went to the top deck to watch the scenery as we left NJ. We could see the skyline of NYC, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We sailed under the Verrazano Bridge. It was very cold outside with the wind and the temperature was in the low 60s. My camera started to act up and didn't work properly the rest of the trip. It was accidentally knocked out of my hand a couple of ...
Hamilton, Bermuda mjpileggiToday, Robert took me on a tour of the Island. We went to see the "abandoned" US Naval base. It's incredible to think that all these buildings were formerly occcupied by the US Navy. Now, half of the buildings are un-used. We went on to see St-David's Lighthouse. The view from there is beautiful. Then, we went back to St-Georges for the "dunking session". In the 18th & 19th century, people who were found guilty of some crime were forced to sit on a chair that was then "dunked ...
Various + St Georges, Bermuda mikebot... of forts per square mile than any other country. Ft. Scaur has underground passages, and peep holes to look out from. There is also a unique water collection area for the fort. Use the free telescope to see St. David's Lighthouse and Fort St. Catherine. It's really worth taking a few hours here to explore. Back down to the bus stop and up to the Royal Dockyards aka King's wharf. This is one of what I consider the 2 primo tourists forts on ...
Daniels Head, Bermuda kupdegra... the passengers too. Anyone who has sailed understands what these sea days are like. We were on our own floating resort, all passengers getting to know each other and making small talk. We were all just trying to take it all in since this was our last day on the ship. Of course I saw Brandon on the deck. He was giving me these sweet but sad looks. At night, we again partied at the Top of the Crown with our new friends ...
