... I wanted but they had already sold out so I ended up upgrading and went for the €67 tickets that were in the main stand up towards the corner.. After we'd for these sorted we decided to put the van in the car park right by the stadium for the day and then at least when the match finished sometime after midnight we could just go straight back to the van and get away obviously realising that it was going to be fairly busy but better that than having to go ...

The area of Catalonia in which we were staying is called the Priorat, and it is region technically defined by its wine. It is only one of two regions within greater Spain classified at the highest level for wine production and, as such, the standards are very rigid. The rental agreement listed several of the areas of damage, but we took the time to inspect the van before leaving, which was a good thing, as there were two huge areas of damage on two sides that weren't recorded on our agreement. Lest we be blamed (and charged), I grabbed an agent and had him take note of ALL the damage, which was in the end very fortuitous.

... since we have been assigning characters. The Sat Nav is Dougal, as he gets grumpy when we go a different way to what he has shown us and sometimes says odd things. He's Spanish so we are getting lots of practise on directions.
Jo has chosen Dylan on the basis that she's been so laid back on occasions we've gone the wrong way. She was certain that she was not going to be Ermintrude!
