      ... yucatan peninsula and well worth the trip. The sand is powder soft and turquoise warm waters that stretch for about half a mile at waist height. The mode of transport here is golf carts, mirroring the pace of life on the island. Hope some of the pics do it ...

      ... people want you to believe is the country of Mexico. I walk with Arturo to his cab and see him off for his day.

      I returned to the apt for a shower and to get ready for my day of exploration. Only one problem, the apt has run out of water and Arturo had to make a phone call to let some one know we need more.       The Tour d'Afrique starts today! From our hotel a convoy of
      45 riders with police escort rode
      to the Great Pyramid of Giza for the official starting ceremonies and
      photo-ops. Took pictures of the pyramids and sphinx. Fended off numerous local
      guys dressed in mufti offering camel rides and currency exchange.
