... an espresso and a torte in the piazza and basked in the sun for a good while. Up to this point I had done quiet a bit. I went to a castle (toured that for a solid hour +); went to at least 5 churches; 3 different street markets; went to all the near piazza's, peering into shops; and now I was enjoying the weather. It's only 11 am and I'm already worn.

... gave me another opportunity to use my italian! I found it pretty quickly but being from Kansas, I had never taken a bus (at least not by myself). I had no idea if I needed a ticket (like we did in Rome) or what. The ticket/information booth next to the bus stop was closed so I began walking towards all the shops. ... a flight: once on boarded we traveled a short distance on the ground and then patiently waited our turn to take the runway for take off. Turns out I was wrong. The train was parked and had no intention of going anywhere. So here I was, stuck in a train. alone, in God knows where...
