... golf courses that are part of the Pebble Beach organization (Spanish Bay, Spyglass) with 9 restaurants.

Everyone is so welcoming in the Pro Shops and anyone can walk down & watch play on #18 at the Links, we were very surprised. (Quite a difference from Sawgrass in Florida, they wouldn't let us inside the gate until a couple hours before our tee time). I guess that is why we felt we did not have to play to enjoy ...

The entire coastal road was nothing short of spectacular and we finished off the drive with a short break on Sand Dollar Beach.

about me living by myself in Santa Barbara, so Tricky exaggerated the retirement community of SB, and didn’t mention that it was also a hip, university town, full of young people. Luckily, Los Angeles is full of everything, so I never felt cheated by Mom’s manipulation from afar.

... in the "valet parking" area. It was not monitored by anyone. They probably thought no one would be nervy enough to park there. They haven't met Bob!

We asked about green fees and were told the regular rate was $495 a round. Also, you need to get a caddy which is another $150. We declined when asked if we wanted to book a tee time.

Instead, we headed to Monterey Pines ...

... creek and showed Bobby. Gilly, in addition to clarinet, is now playing tennis and Mike is teaching her the killer moves as he played at the college level. Marianna has done a great job with this brood of kids. Hats off to both Marianna and Mike. This was not easy and they have done a great job. We could not stay long, but while we were there we heard from Hannah who is now at UCSD, so we will see their eldest daughter when we reach ...
