Later this evening as we explored downtown Brandon. The feel of such small cities always interests me. We were surprised to see much of the parkland underwater, from the overflowing Assiniboine River. This latest flood happened in July and this is what it still looks like near the end of September.

Once we left Moose Jaw we headed to Brandon where for the next week we all did not much except relax by the pool. I ventured down to the International Peace Gardens on the boarder of Manitoba and North Dakota. The gardens were lovely. It was a bit of an eye opener as I went the day after the MH17 plane disaster - there was a bit of a 'feeling' around. ... easily take the metro which is really inexpensive, only €1.70 for one ticket! March 20/2014 Our first full day in Paris! Time for us to tackle the Eiffel Tower! We took the metro from our hostel and got as close as we could to the tower we still had to walk a bit to get there.
