    ... minutes before getting our passports stamped and being cleared to go on.

    We stopped at the Alberta sign and discovered that now we are travelling in kpm instead of mph. Also, the speed limits are more in line with Australia, so a little bit slower than America. We stopped at the information centre and got some maps and headed on to Lethbridge for the night.

    ... City Royals squeaked in to the playoffs as a wild card, then won 8 straight games. They await the winner of the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals.     ... town about 10 miles away. It was held at the McGrath Stake campground where there are nice bathrooms and warm showers, a big meeting hall and a "red neck water slide." The water slide was the most popular place by far. It was built into a hill with farm and earth moving equipment by folks from Welling. A plastic chute is laid into the hill and water is piped from an irrigation canal and when turned on, lubricates the slide. It works really well and you can get going ...
