As we were off the main highway headed to Glacier National, there were only smalls towns of 50 people around and no gas stations to be seen. ... the Americans bought Glacier NP in 1905 for 12 million dollars. They got their name from the way they hunted bison. They used to set land on fire, so the bison would come to the unburned piece of grass they left open. Then they came running in with their spears to kill the bison, in the process getting.... Right. But here they're called Blackfoot.

... S. was sweltering in the record heat wave, we were in rain jackets in the low 50’s. At the glacier at Cameron Lake, the temperature was 42 degrees. Waterton is famous for its wildflowers, reminding us of the Blue Ridge Parkway in May. We arrived home, safely on schedule, on Thursday afternoon. Yes, it was a long 9 hour flight, but after watching 4 movies, it seemed to go by fast.
