    ... no more steep inclines and runaway downhills, but longer stretches of straight highway and less challenging hills. The fall colors are still predominant of course and I remark when we top a ridge overlooking a large area below it looks like a garden of marigolds. Still not many reds, but they are getting more numerous. What a spacious Province we are traveling through. Thank goodness for all these pines, poplars, birch and aspen ...

    Nice stay at the Crystal Inn, except Housekeeping was banging on our door at 9 am to see if they could make up our room (I put the "Do Not Disturb" sign out shortly after their intrusion). A little after that we were up and moving around, packing up and getting out the door. We noticed the haziness of the sky last night and it was really bad today - winds were very strong and the temperature was about 27 degrees.
