Picked up the new used trailer
(christened Tag) in Owen Sound – many thanks to Moyra and Dave for
sharing their past experiences and helping inspect the new set of
wheels (full features listed below). Also, many thanks to Bridget &
Greg for storing the new wheels for a week so I could do a game night
... in truck. Leave tail gate & tunnel cover open so curious bears can check it out.
We went into Parry Sound, checked out the harbor, climbed the Tower for the fabulous views. Lunched at The Bistro on Bay overlooking the harbor.. excellent meal… this btw is the home of Bobby Orr.

... for people to stay each night. Hekkla was the first settlement. the dirt gravel road and scenery is just the same as on Parry Island but the road twists and turns a lot with lakes on the side near homes and small bridges. Looked at the first church built there in 1880 Christ Church of Cardwell. The local people look after the church we signed the Visitors Book inside (Terry smokes too much or Paul won't let him smoke in the Hummer). Drove on ...
... where Marg lives. We all agreed that it would be better to stay another day in Parry Sound as the traffic and roads to Toronto will be very busy.
Made Julie and Paul's day by staying another day at their motel plus they love listening to us talk the slang reminds them of Darwin. Julie let me use their phone to ring Providence Tower where Marg is to arrange three days accommodation there but the five family stay suites are booked so ...
... and continue travelling on Tuesday with the kids go back to school. Paul and Julie were pleased we were staying as the motel is partly empty for the next few days.
