First Impressions
Eventually I arrived in Naples just on dark. Stepping out of the train station there was defiantly a dingy tinge to the place, it looked run down and a bit derelict, there was a lot of rubbish on the ground and few unsavory characters hanging around. ... Museum. The metro was exceedingly busy, mainly due to a couple of delays, so I was glad that I was only going one stop! Naples has very few metro lines, for the same reason that Rome only has two - every time they try and build another one they uncover another ancient ruin and then the archaeologists get called in and the cost balloons out.
