... cycle path. This is a converted railway line that we will bike for 2 days from Olot to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, which is a total distance of 97km. Today we rode this trail from Olot to Griona with a total cycling distance of 61km. The trail started in Olot with a spectacular narrow canyon that had hanging vines and stone bridges. Checked out of our luxurious hotel in Barcelona and took a scenic 2 hour train ride to Ripoll. The first part of the ride was a pleasant trail that followed a river to the town of Sant Joan de les Abadesses. We had some ...

Immediately, we have decided to stay for at least two nights and depending on the weather, we may stay longer. And off to Argeles in the afternoon, so that David can swim in the sea. The sand is more fine grit, and so less messy than the fine sand elsewhere. A wonderful day. Tomorrow, we are trying another beach further up the ...

... be coming in the opposite direction at that moment! Back on track, we found the aire. Good facilities, plenty of space, but soulless. We drove Smartie into Collioure and port Vendres. Collioure was pedestrianised and busy. Not my type of town. Some fabulous views - the castle and the seafront, but Port Vendres was much nicer. More people watching. A busy commercial port, but also ...
