    ... of the longer stays.

    We took a walk into the local village, Capmany, this morning, found the cafè/bar and got an ice cream and found the deli and got lunch, a nice walk around the narrow streets before we headed back to the site. After lunch we had a game of pétanque and chilled out in the sun. This evening we will pack up ready for our move tomorrow for the first of our longer stays.

    ... the town including a nice family run restaurant for a late lunch. This featured a fabulous tomato and mozzarella salad, gazpacho and traditional Catalan sausage - a perfect introduction to Cadaques.

    ... culminating with the 1492 expulsion of the Jews from Spain by those godly monarchs, Ferdinand and Isabella!

    We walked the narrow cobblestone lanes, hemmed in by formidable ramparts. Human spirit was confined quite literally. We had intended to go out in the evening for tapas but the weight of travel and history (and our good lunch) depleted our resolve and we faded out early in Girona!

    ... niblets, walnuts, raisins, olives, grated carrot, tomatoes and a whole avocado neatly sliced across the top (for me the absence of onion was great in this instance) The owner Victoria was there directing traffic as the tables were till being turned over when we left at about 10pm - Victoria liked the look of us and sent an icy cold shot of Limoncello for us to finish the night - speaking to her we discovered she had lived here for 35 years but ...

    ... for 9 days...just lucky I think...with a taste of the Tramontane ( Languedoc's take on the Mistral) only on our last day...very dramatic and whipping up great seas.
    This time more varied weather, and we seem to be stuck in a windy cycle now unfortunately, with the shutters rattling and everything firmly lashed down on the terrace. Hasn't discouraged a great jazz group in the square, but.
