Our airport transfer wasn't until 11:30 AM so we took a nice walk to the main square a mile from the hotel after breakfast. The multi-lane streets were almost empty as testimony to the stay out late Friday night and sleep in Saturday morning lifestyle. We were able to get some extra photos of some park statues and the Las Arenas Mall. There were still a lot of parked scooters, even some designated for Burger King delivery. ... the hike to the chapel and cave are 15 stations that depict events from the life of Jesus Christ. Pilgrims hiking to the sacred cave stop at each station to pray and reflect on Jesus' life.

After hiking and viewing the sacred buildings at Montserrat, we drove an hour west to a local winery. Everyone had a wonderful time tasting the wines and we purchased several bottles to take home with us. Enjoy the pictures!

... late because the Spanish have a big break in the middle of the day called siesta. 10pm is usual for dinner & they start drinking at midnight. Around the corner from our hostel I find my first Spanish churros with chocolate. They are like a long skinny cinnamon donut deep fried you dip in chocolate. No the best I've had, pretty oily. I'll find some authentic ones tomorrow. It's after midnight by the time we do our washing in the bathroom basin & get to ...
