... no-one is supposed to eat out on a Sunday ?? Although we keep getting told that Sunday is family day and they have big food feasts all day - maybe they stay at home Back on the bus to travel to the new city - visited the La Sagrada Familia, one of Gaudí's most famous works in Barcelona. It's a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882 and it's not expected to be completed for some time yet. ...

... there is a shopping mall there. On the way I stopped at the monument to Christopher Colombus enjoyed the Ramblas de Mer, marina and waterfront. ... early for most of the action. We are all on edge about pickpockets, as apparently they are rampant in Barcelona, and left our wallets in the room. We also can't believe the constant harassment from vendors trying to earn a living but hassling you to buy roses, or hats, or glasses that light up, or other garbage when you are sitting at a table eating dinner or are in a bar, never mind on the street. More on Barcelona mañana, Steph and ...

... it's like stepping into another world and the exterior of the building is unlike any other. A few quirky and bizarre projects of Gaudi appear throughout the city and are very prominent as seen in Park GŁell, which was originally created in 1900 as a residential project with nature playing a prominent role. The project failed but the park remains with only two houses that you can now tour and a house that Gaudi himself lived in ...
