We drove back to the Amish area and bought some homemade breads and preztel at Pleasant View Bakery which is located in the basement of a Amish farm house in Dalton, Wi. There were many Amish ladies baking the bread as we were in the store. We then drove through the countryside and found a vegetable stand ...

It was about 6 miles and took us 3 hrs. It was harder going than I expected with plenty of trees in the river to avoid and low water (thus sand bars), plus all the turns in the river. And though the river was low even a little bit of current ...

I was up early so went out to enjoy the sunrise over the river. Gorgeous, so peaceful and serene. This was our day to relax.

We went up to Parfrey's Glen. We had driven past yesterday (sunday) with the intention to see it, but with cars filling the parking lot and out onto the highway felt it wouldn't be the experience we wanted. Today was much better, we only saw ...
