... it as Jago would never have forgiven me. So settled for lunch and a swim in the sea instead. For dinner we struck gold. We were lucky to get a table at Tipico. The staff were great, everyone in the kitchen even the washing up lady seemed to be enjoying themselves. There are dense forests giving way to valleys full of farms followed by more forest. This would be the same road we would have traveled if we had driven from Zagreb.

... a tourist agency gal who spoke German and Crote only... Turns out this is a major German tourist destination... German cars, German license plates everywhere, trailers, campers and food lots of food. So what did eat..yup.. Italian . It was great and coincided nicely with the torrential downpour ... Crazy rain and wind...streets were overflowing but nothing that some red sauce and gnocchi couldn't cure! Went back to our rented apartment and slept like the driving dead... More ...
