    ... it wouldn't be us if we didn't get lost somewhere along the way.

    We wandered down to the beach which is grey sandy stuff and rocks, nothing like home beaches but still a beautiful outlook. Found a small alleyway and headed down and stumbled on the other side of the coast and a small inlet with a white sandy beach, how odd to have black rocks on one side of the coast and literally across the road white sandy beaches.

    ... to bed and after Karen and Malcolm had had a nanna nap, the latter two went out and bought pizza and bought it back to the hotel for dinner.

    ... laugh. It turns out that they have gone to school in Vancouver and have a cousin studying in Nanaimo, it really is a small world. 2 1/2 hours back to Milan and we pick up our luggage and have time to eat before our train arrives - this is one place we really know well!

    We have booked a first class seat for the trip to Monterosso in the Cinque Terra, as once again we have luggage and this is a longer train ride. ...

    ... an overly welcoming city and we couldn't even find somewhere to have dinner! Luckily the hostel we were staying at 'Bella Napoli' was a family run business and they also had a pizza restaurant downstairs which was divine and very cheap and they were all lovely, the father was very Italian spoke no English and walked around in a singlet and shorts, very cute!

    As we had to catch the train to Milan then onto Sestri Levante we were up at 6.30 and having breakfast by 7!
