... to the nearest town, Deiva Marina, but there was just cafe and cafe. As we were searching for the shop Jess said "Look at that!". "What?" I asked. "THAT!" she said, but I couldn't see anything. Then something moved, and on the other side of a small retaining wall was an ostrich, just kind of walking back and forth, pretty much unphased by us taking pictures of it. Thurs 30th Today we caught the train to Riomaggiore - and then back up to Monterosso to start a walk Monterosso - Vernazza- Corniglia Riomaggiore is a lovely little village much like ours at Manarola - pretty small with a big focus on fishing Monterossa was a lot bigger and more touristy so it was good to start there and glad we are staying at a smaller place The walk was spectacular - the weather cleared for us but still cool ...

We stopped at Deiva Marina which I would think in the height of summer would be crowded , but it was very quiet. We had a stroll along the prom and across the rocks down on the beach then jumped back in the car and headed for Bonassola.
