... to the nearest town, Deiva Marina, but there was just cafe and cafe. As we were searching for the shop Jess said "Look at that!". "What?" I asked. "THAT!" she said, but I couldn't see anything. ... I had been when I slept outside in France, plus the noise of the waves crashing on the beach wasn't a bad thing to nod off to.

The Cinque Terre walk itself was a substantial anticlimax. All but one section of the coastal path was closed off for repairs.
