... 90 fee- that is a lot of cleaning which I don’t think the company is going to do, based on the condition the boat was in when we told charge of it. ... final lock (before Agde where we finish) was at Portiragnes. These last locks were handled smoothly by the now old hands on deck, but we were pleased to see the last lock after 49 locks in the last 5 days.


As we had the afternoon left we travelled onto Port Cassafieres. On the canal there is only a marina for another boat ...

... took some photos .... a few of the friendly locals liked the look of me!!!

Time for lunch so we found a lovely spot on the edge of the canal and devoured our picnic goodies. It was a beautiful setting and we enjoyed watching the houseboats and other canal traffic. We could have just sat and watched life go by for ages, but time for us to check out and move on!!

Next stop, Generac... a small village near Nime where our hosts were ...

... through the car, I faced the truth that I really had left them behind. Rich sent a message to Marie-Eve asking her to post my glasses onto Grenoble where we knew we had a few days so I faced 4 days without seeing too well (I didn't dare complain!!).
