We didn't learn from yesterday and had another sleep in, but this time we didn't regret it. We had a nice relaxing morning, showering, charging our devices and researching our next movements. We went to the little store here on the campsite and bought some prosciutto, croissants, tomato and cream cheese and had a little lunch, then decided that we should explore the local area. ... thing to eat on a beach in the Italian Riviera!

We had dinner at the restaurant Belvedere and thoroughly enjoyed pesto...pesto appetizers, pesto soup, pesto linguini...ummm basil, parmesan and pine nuts....nectar of the Italians!

Tomorrow we hop another few trains and make our way to Lake Como...home to George Clooney's Italian second home!

For the next two nights we're staying in Monterosso, part of the Cinque Terre (five villages) and what is supposed to be the best of the Italian coastline. Our accommodation is in a lovely quiet spot, nestled up high into a mountain with its own balcony and view of the ocean with forest right next to us. ... understand. I finally told him “NO” and he left with a very annoyed look on his face. The train left right on time and was punctual, but by about 16:00, I was getting anxious to reach Monterosso. I finally arrived on time at 17:02 and was so pleased to once again be back here.
