We didn't learn from yesterday and had another sleep in, but this time we didn't regret it. We had a nice relaxing morning, showering, charging our devices and researching our next movements. We went to the little store here on the campsite and bought some prosciutto, croissants, tomato and cream cheese and had a little lunch, then decided that we should explore the local area. We went for a walk following a little track through the neighbouring forest. ...

After a swim ...

Our next stop was the village of Novello which had a castle advertised on the map. It is now a hotel, so we just did the wander - 14th century with crenellated walls. In the village, there was a tower, the base of which had been converted into a wine tasting room for the district. Piedmont is a very lovely area - could easily while away many more hours ...

We quickly got the van and awning set up and settled down in the sun to take in the view and later on watch the sun go down.

Tuesday 26th We drove down to the town and found a free place to park. The parking over here is governed by the colour of the road markings; white is free but usually limited to half an hour or so, and you have to display a parking ...
