... to castle and am greeted by a beautiful manicured garden with little canals running through it. Then though another gate to a room that leads to a peaceful courtyard with a rectangular pool—bringing back flashbacks of the Alhambra in Granada. You can climb up various towers to get an impressive view of the surroundings: A bustling port to the south, a densely packed city to the east and jagged, bone dry mountains to the north and west. For Malta, we have booked a walking tour of Valetta and Mdina to see the sights and get the history. We do not arrive in Malta until 2pm and we sail at 10pm that night so it will be late afternoon walk before probably having dinner ashore. ...
