      Unfortunately, many of the service stations are unstaffed. So you swipe your credit card and then you can pump fuel and it will bill you the amount pumped. That is unless you have a foreign card that needs a signature to verify. Then it just refuses you.

      Spent the day in Paris catching up with Baz and Rob while trying out an assortment of activities along the Seine, interspersed with a few beers by the water. I actually felt like being on holiday for a day or so.

      ... arrived at Givet, where we decided to stop for lunch. Found a nice little brasserie to have lunch at. Much cheaper than anything in Paris, where they obviously rip us off!       ... off we went out of Paris. Once again, Michael did a good job and soon we were on the highway heading for the Ardennes. Still hadn't booked a place, which we weren't too happy about. Michael was trying to please everyone. The drive was lovely through hills and wide open spaces.
