... have been that it was a larger town. The information I'd been given about his headstone was accurate, and we located his burial site easily. This cemetery had been the community cemetery well before the war, with family tombs covered in names and memorials. In a separate section, crosses marked the graves of French soldiers and the occasional German one.

1 oct -Rouen Busy looking around at shops. Lunch at the Vietnam cuisine the unique way of weighing your selection of dish .. Dinner at La mien, a nice shanghai la mien, entree were nice especially the seaweed and the mushroom ( Jamur kuping ) stir fry seafood noodle Not mentioning the handsome waiter that Cik Mey like so much ...

... and managed to take some photos, while Vonny, cik Win and WIna were lighting candle in Mother Maria's chamber. Lunch was at the Chinese rest around the corner of the Cathedral. Rained all night, so packed the tent up wet. The across to St Sever Cemetery which is quite large and WOODLAND not in any of the book lists so found him by looking at date of death and also a special section for officers ??? Then off to Saint Marie Cemetery which was also very large and had 5 CWGC sections...Finally found the last soldier for this trip and headed north to find the campsite for the ...

... Invasion and have not been repaired. Real life history I guess.

We enjoyed Rouen. There was plenty of variety in the sights and we liked the way modern shopping was interspersed into the old streets.

We had an unplanned visit to le Treport before our stop for the night. For no reason but we drove into the town and decided it was worth a look.
