    ... would be way spendier. Walked around for a bit more, then back to the hotel. The jet lag caught up and it was nap time.     ... were so many of us.

    When we arrive in Kyiv we'll be met by the OSCE folks and bussed to our hotels and probably all split up again. Looking forward already to a shower and a bed before our briefings start tomorrow.

    P.S. Just had one of the best pain au chocolat of my life! At the airport, no less!

    Lots of great conversations with people who have done all sorts of interesting international work.

    ... sat just next to a store selling Lamborghini hats, shirts and other items, and there was a raffle going to win a brand-new candy-apple red Ford Mustang.

    ... but after only a bit of meandering, along with a dramatic and screeching last minute turn, we were delivered to our destination, the Hotel de France. As TripAdvisor advised, the hotel could not have been any closer to the palace itself, being just across the road. Unfortunately, the view from our window towards the palace was somewhat spoilt by a large pile of sand and a digger, but it would be churlish to complain.
