... room with sun pouring through the windows. Fougeres is a beautiful town - hilly but so pretty with pretty gardens everywhere. We went out for an early evening walk before dinner. As last night we have dinner in the hotel tonight. The dessert we had last night in Combourg was unlike anything I had seen before , just delicious and spectacular . Unfortunately I didn't have a camera for a ubiquitous meal photo. I will be taking my camera ...

... I am lost to the religious significance.

Sundays in France are usually a lot quieter with supermarkets closing early or even totally unless it is a big one. You do not see the Indian or Chinese owned superettes or 4711 as we called them. Life seems more traditional and it works for them. With a bit of adjustment back in expectations/and time for us 24x7 shoppers its not such a bad thing - you plan for it. Given we could not find a supermarket for a picnic ...

... we were the first ones to occupy. Very spacious - 2 large rooms, one full bathroom and a separate toilet and hand basin. Despite the spaciousness, don't think we would return because the area is a little seedy. No internet at the hotel so we were told to go next door to the Ibis. Whilst communicating with our cycling friends in Lyon Joy and Pete, with ...
