Day 8 - The City of Love

A travel blog entry by patricksexton

Paris is the best city I've been to. We got a cab from the airport before settling in at the hotel which was in the Latin Quarter of the city, a vibrant and bustling part of town. We then smashed souvlakis before going to check out Notre Dam which was a stunning sight. After that we got a train to the Eiffel Tower where we basked in its beauty for a few hours before heading home later in the evening for some crepes (Nutella Friule) and ...

Tony was cross because he lost his place in the queue and by then wanted an icecream. So while Tony continued to queue I sat in air ...

Off to Paris this morning on the TGV. It takes 7-8 hrs to drive, but only 2 hrs 40 on the TGV - very exciting for the kids.

On arriving we found our hotel, had a quick rest and then straight back into it. The kids have become hard-core sightseers now so no time to waste. First stop, Notre Dame- I think the kids were torn between ' not another church' and being fairly awestruck. Then, just ...
