... was teaming with millions of kids so we chose beach and found a quiet spot under trees for some shade. It was already 30 degrees so we hunted down the sea for a cool off and once again the beaches were packed and not just for 500 meters but for 10 km. Its quite an education for us Kiwi's that are used to having a deserted beach whenever we want one. Not so many naked people today as you tip toe your ...

Still, we could tell that he had a very gentle and laid-back personality. The hotel in Argeles-sur-Mer accepts pets so we are keeping him for at least one more day and frankly by this point we've given him at least a temporary name (Arthur Perpignan, because we found him near the big French town ...

DAY 10/June 23: The queen stage

... Peter. He'd been having tummy troubles to various degrees for about a week and today it was serious enough that he packed in and called for Caroline to pick him up. This morning at the start, he installed one of the spare wheels (front) from the van on his bike since he'd been having some trouble with his. But now since he'd be off the bike for the rest of the day, we transferred it over to Linda's bike so now we wouldn't have to worry about the patch holding up.
