    ... There were a lot of good looking restaurants cafés in the area we'd just come from but we didn't want to change for dinner, preferring to eat and go back to the hotel. While dining we used the internet, including for a time our hotel Wifi. The variability of wifi access across Europe bemuses us and it shouldn't be assumed that higher priced accommodation will have better access.     ... sights such as 'The Castillet' which was the first city gate having been built in the 14th century, and The Palais Des Rois De Majoree, which translated means 'The Palace of the Kings of Majorca', we ended up down a back street. We saw this little bar and Les suggested that we 'pay the locals' a visit.

    The bar was named 'Cave A Vins' and was more like someones front room. It was quite bare apart from 3 huge vats ...

    ... This time we drove down the opposite bank of the Seine and got to see the back and side of the Cathedral. Hadn't been able to see those views before. Next we went to the Jardin de Luxemburg. This is a large garden in the middle of Paris, with beautiful flower beds, a pond, statues, swings, tennis courts, pony rides, lots of chairs placed around the garden for people to relax or read books, or talk to friends.     Up at 6.30am since we all slept in. Was exhausted from yesterday's effort so slept soundly. One of the men has a swollen foot and ankle. It started getting sore in Paris, but has become worse. Last night Jade took him to the hospital and he has cellulitis. Had to go and find a chemist this morning to have the prescription filled. So this morning he set off, alone, in Jade's car, using the GPS on his phone, but it stopped working. Now Adam is from Taiwan ...
