We had planned to return to did the return trip on the scenic train back to Nantes and stay the extra night, but I had not booked because we didn't know what it was going to be like. Unfortunately, the Hotel Pommeroye was booked out for the second night, so we decided on plan B and taking the train from Orleans to Tours, then from Tours to Caen and Bayeux.

I downed ...

Magret du canard (duck breast) for me and the boys and 'une piece de Boucher' (a piece of meat from the butcher!) for Andy which turned out to be an excellent steak thankfully. ...

The boys and I had a nice wander at Salbris market and made our purchases for dinner without too much trouble - poulet roti and haricot vert amongst other things. We spotted some rabbits on the way back to the car but couldn't get too close for a decent photo.
Another walk but locally this time to an ...
