... And I barely saw anyone around, this early on a Sunday morning. I was feeling pretty good as I opened the door to Ladurée and asked for a table, but I saw the man make a face and he told me (for the first time since I had arrived in English!) that the restaurant portion was closed for renovations. The architects behind this thing CLEARLY had previous experience making mouse labyrinths and nothing more. Not only does this complex look like something from a cheap 1980s sci-fi B-movie (think "The Girl from Tomorrow" or "Nukie"), but it is the most disorienting, squalid, dark and confusing place imaginable.
