First Day on the Camino

Our roommate Daniel was up and gone before sunup leaving us to stir about 7.15. We sorted out our clothes and went down to breakfast. An Irish lady and an older couple from Canada were there as well. Self-serve of cereal, coffee and baguette helped us get ready for the day.

... we would be heading off tomorrow. Had dinner at restaurant directly across the road and of course had the pilgrim's meal with a bottle of 2006 wine (€15) which was great. Friday: the exploits of the previous days have really caught up with me and I am extremely tired. Up at 6 am, I was lucky that the morning was cloudy and I was able to cover much of the 60KM before it got unbearably hot. But really the mental, physical and spiritual tiredness have kicked in.
