We said our goodbyes and then we stopped for a cuppa and they then passed us tooting ...

The story of the pioneers of this place was not told to us but having just read this on their site it has to be told! Towards the end of the 19th century Artaud from ...

... mmmmm.  This was set upon by the crowd who were already developing a suitably Gascony appetite. We did the nibbles and the cheese before we were told that there was also a hot pot with an upside down shepherd's pie with confit duck rather than lamb!  This was also delicious. There were some wines from Domaine Pellehaut to help wash this down with which was splendid. For desert (well there had to be desert) we were treated to another local delicacy Croustard ...

    Arzacq-Arraziguet to Pomps. 20 km

... inspiration ... Of course. Quite high stretches today but eventually at the end of the day it plateaued. We are staying at the communal Gite..as there was no other accommodation at a suitable distance for us.. So the Gite it had to be... Well we arrived in good time 2:30 pm after quite a long walk..French kilometres again... The Gite is not the best..actually a hut at the back of the local sports centre.with two women running the show.. We did ...
