Yesterday we we arrived at the boat, spotty wifi, this morning we sailed to Lyon, so the connection is much more reliable. We leave for a tour of Lyon (headquarters of Interpol, BTW) in 15 mins, so this entry will be short. I'll work on getting the pics uploaded to the iPad; more later!

The chateau is a medieval fortress built in the 12th century, since its the origin the castle has been kept in the same family. ... Our little apartment in Lyon is compact and quaint, despite its modern styling. We are situated right in the heart of Lyon's business district, and right across from a large shopping centre, which includes a Hermes macaron shop! Less than 500 metres away is the main transit centre, and we are only a short walk to the zoo and the other (limited number of) attractions here in Lyon. It will be a great week to recuperate and slow the pace a ...
