(or we were this trip) so naturally, instead of having a fairly long train ride
all the way back to Rochefort, from Monaco, we decided to break it up a bit by
going to Lyon…..and then we still had a fairly long train ride back to
Rochefort, but hey, we got to see another city and am I ever glad we got to see
Lyon, because it was a nice one!

... at the view and crashed into the barrier! Ben had a good laugh at this. Luckily only my pride was injured!

At Yann’s recommendation we tried some of the local Lyon cuisine which included: Andouillette which is a pork sausage type thing served with mustard

and Quenelle, a Fish flambé type dish. Both not something we would normally choose but surprisingly nice.

... point Lee and I are still a bit in shock - yes, we have really left Canada for 10 weeks, yes we are in Europe, no, we cannot understand what anyone is saying!! In all honesty, everything has gone remarkably smoothly so far, no delays and no navigational difficulties, though I am sure we will be making up for that tomorrow when we get into our car and start mortal combat with our fellow European drivers!! ...
