On Saturday morning we packed up Lynn and Phil's house (well, to be fair, Lynn, Phil and Jackie did. I sort of hung around) in anticipation of the later arrival of the Caen apartment owners who did a house swap with Phil and Lynn.

Once again we're having unusually nice weather. Last week it was cold & rainy. This afternoon we are sailing back to Paris... Some are touring Versailles & we will pick them up along the river somewhere. I'm enjoying my panoramic windows open and listening to the birds & ...

... restaurant near the chateau and a browse through the shops we were off again.....there was still daylight and sunshine and another chateau to find. Another hour away was Chateau de Chenonceau. The drive alone passing through the picturesque town of Blois and following the riverside was a treat. De Chenonceau is said to be one of the most elegant and unusual in the Loire Valley. Spanning the Cher river via a series of graceful arches set amid stunning gardens it ...
