... was when we were at the swimming pool and we went to grab the floaties we had used yesterday for the twinnies and some French woman tried to stop us and was being a bit snooty with Jess and as soon as she realised we were English she didn't want the hassle of dealing with us any longer and she called over a colleague who also couldn't really be bothered but at least he was nice and let us have the floaties. ... br> We continued on along the towpath to the Grand Forge de Buffon. This was built in 1768 by George-Louis Leclerc, Count of Buffon. On the river level are the furnace, refinery and foundry and above it lodgings ,gardens and the farm.

We managed to get back to the main road by a shorter and slightly wider road. We then took the D10 road which had the TGV line to Lyons running alongside it - however we never saw a train.
We were heading for Semur-en-Auxois where we hoped to spend the night at the MH Aire there.
