    ... a 5 minute ferry ride and another couple of minutes we were out of the traffic and onto a dual use path. In Amsterdam vehicles have to give way to bikes that are on designated bike paths and bikes have to give way to pedestrians who want to cross the bike path at pedestrian crossings.
