    On the Dole.

Felling a little seedy we decided not to move on today. I walked up into town to get the baguette for lunch. After lunch we all went for a walk up through town where we had a drink in a kerbside cafe and then down through the park back to the river. We played Rummikub that night to their rules. I finally conceded to Bruce as it approached ...

We emerged from the hotel soon after 08:00 this morning - the tandems (and solo bike) were duly extracted from the little lock-up within the hotel garage and we were away. That rum baba in a glass, floating in white rum, infused with vanilla pods, added at the table, was ...

Tuesday 31 July - Reims - 25C. Today we left the hotel around 10am to get some breakfast, but got distracted on the way to buy a pair of shoes in the last day of the summer sales in France. We eventually got to breakfast and started to plan the assault on the rest of the started the day buying shoes, then we had breakfast. Today is the last day of the "sales" in France and I am hoping to make a dent in the economy.

Bonjour. A special thank you to my passengersyesterday for allowing me the chance to spend so much time honing my ""driving on the right hand side of the road" skills.
As it turned out the turkey through whom we booked our accomodation in Champagne (not the owners who are great) gave us directions which were no help at all...........showing the E46 as a right hand turn not a left hand turn and giving us the wrong motorway exit ...
