    ... but then we paid to take the train thru the grounds! Fantastic as it was 30 C out..and at least a 2 hour round trip walk to Marie Antoinette's hamlet. We really did well..toured the Petite Tetoin..had a French guided tour of the private chambers & the attic....the gardens..and walked to the hamlet! Fantastic. Arrived back to hot stuffy hotel..ate supper at a restaurant, out on the street..went to bed..exhausted ..good ...

    Hello everyone, from Paris. All our travel plans went like clockwork, with all our flights on time, and no difficulties finding our way from the Airport to our appartment. The young man arrived on time to show us the appartment, and it had already been cleaned, so we were able to have possession from 10.30 onwards, which was a real blessing. Armine was a handsome young Moroccan, who warned us about pick-pockets, ...

    ... spent sometime outdoors- had my baguette for lunch in Jardins of Tuileries. The highlight of my day was a cruise on the Seine at dusk, I can understand why Paris is known as the 'City of Lights'!!! Had my first trip on the Metro, I was a bit apprehensive but it was a breeze.     What a day we had today, after a breakfast of fruit, bread and pastries we set off to catch to open top tour bus. We chose the 2 day option and boat cruise, we have a choice of 4 different routes to go on.     Things got a little weird yesterday, got blindsided by the "ball grabber' who manage to sneak right up on me and then starting yelling in English "I am hungry, give me money" knowing the consequences of refusal I get out my wallet and she starts yelling "give me 10" repeatedly - it seemed a fair exchange - 10 euros not to have your balls grabbed by a an 80 year old so I gladly paid ...
