Since Latin became the common language to those people who lived there it became the local language and hence the area became known as the Latin quarter. ... to figure out where the tour office is in relation to the tower train station. The train finally arrives & three stops later we bolt out of the station & up the stairs. French people walk so slow & don't like moving out of the way. We have to keep remembering to walk on the opposite side up & down stairs & the street.
