      ... had ever seen snow. 5 minutes later driving up the hill, down comes the snow and within a few more minutes we were inundated with the stuff.       We had an early train to get to Reims, it was a pretty standard travel day. Got to the train station in Paris only to discover out next train left from a different station so we had to catch the metro. Metros and backpacks are always fun at least this one was so packed.       Epernay, France
      After a disappointing day yesterday, we decided to target Epernay, a place we've been before on a previous trip, but one which we enjoyed.
      The fact that it is quite close to our previous stop was an added attraction, and we were here and set-up by noon.
      The people at the Reception were amazingly friendly and helpful, willingly spoke excellent English, and then admitted that they had spent time in Brisbane before.... They even added a couple ...

      ... nibbling on pretty little hors d'oeurves. I liked BOTH, uh oh. LANGUAGES Reims is said like "Rehn" with a strong sound at the back of the throat. Language differences appear even with babies. If you shake a French baby it will say eh, eh, wheh, ereu :) French sounds are all in the back of the throat. Germans use the tongue as a machine gun!
