After a disappointing day yesterday, we decided to target Epernay, a place we've been before on a previous trip, but one which we enjoyed.
The fact that it is quite close to our previous stop was an added attraction, and we were here and set-up by noon.
The people at the Reception were amazingly friendly and helpful, willingly spoke excellent English, and then admitted that they had spent time in Brisbane before.... They even added a couple ...
... head to dinner at a seafood restaurant near Heather's apt. We've passed this place several times and we're always so impressed by the man shucking oysters with his bare hands on the corner. We sit outside and they hand us our menus - on an iPad? Grace says she's seen this before, but Heather and I are impressed. We have a great meal - after Heather sends our spinach back for being gritty (thanks Heather!) - and another bottle of white wine. ...

All packed for a weekend in France: Epernay, the champagne capital.
At the start of the trip, we should've followed the GPS of the Passat, but we tried the iPhone route. 2h more on the road was the result :)
A quick stop in Luxemburg for some siggies and back on the road. After 5h drive and 2 bloodnoses we found the hotel. Right out of town, but not too far, and massive rooms.
