    ... before we headed off - well that was the plan, until we remembered that we hadn't printed out the tickets for the Equestrian games that we needed, and the others that we were trying to sell as a favour...     Epernay, France
    After a disappointing day yesterday, we decided to target Epernay, a place we've been before on a previous trip, but one which we enjoyed.
    The fact that it is quite close to our previous stop was an added attraction, and we were here and set-up by noon.
    The people at the Reception were amazingly friendly and helpful, willingly spoke excellent English, and then admitted that they had spent time in Brisbane before.... They even added a couple ...

    Bought some bubbly in Reims then on to Chalons-en-Champagne. Lovely town with two large churches as usual. The Notre-Dame De L'Epine dated back 1405 the Cathedrale St Etienne dated back 1230.

    The town of Reims is small and easy to get around. It was pretty quite
