... a very busy site and I was asked if we had a reservation. The fear was that this would be the first time we were refused but as I'd sent an e-mail AND our names were on the list, we had a pitch available (No. 87 as it happened with no “have a look and pick one of the many you like”)

As I said - amazing! ...

The day started off rainy, but we decided to go tour Freiburg anyway. We were accompanied by Rudy and Conny's niece, Nicole and her friend Ariel. They are traveling Europe for 10 weeks and are staying in Linkenheim for a couple of weeks. Even though it rained all day, we saw all of our historic sights, took pictures and did a little shopping. When we returned to Linkenheim we were treated to ...

... car behind us. After getting his information we turned the car back on and the radio seamlessly queued up the chorus from "You had a bad day." As timing it was perfect, as foreshadowing it wasn't accurate. Not only did we have a GREAT day, but Claire passed her final exam at Hertz with flying colors. (On some vacations we had to watch the amount of sand in the car; this time it was baguette and pastry crumbs.) The song du jour/du voyage has become "our song" for this trip. It's catchy ...
