... is the inventor of the cinema. He bought a house in Cannes and showed the first moving film of a train arriving at the station. The story goes that all the people watching the film panicked and rushed out because they thought a train was heading straight for them!! It was obviously better than todays 3D! From the Palais we walked back to where the tender was waiting to take us back to our ship and a long lunch washed down with lots ...

The day started with a walk past the Cannes Casino and from the old port area toward the super yachts. We went to check out the views from ...

Today it is a sleepy town, where nobody speaks English and the residents sleep a lot (we didn't spot a single person) except the bar owners and little shop owners. Perhaps the villagers were hiding! It is so quiet and tidy and all the buildings are beautifully maintained and well kept. The surrounding countryside is green filled with olive trees and grape vines. Most of the trees in the ...

Woke up in the beautiful port of Monaco, surrounded by yachts and the gorgeous scenery. Walked around the harbor and caught a train to Nice. Sitting at a sandwich shop eating yummy paninis right now. All of our stops are based upon whether or not the establishments offer free Wifi (LOL). Looking forward to the planned tours on our next three stops (Italy). A little underwhelmed ...
