Merignac, Aquitaine, France joelmeeker... on the quality of the fruits and vegetables. Things must be just ripe and at their best, not picked a week early for shipment somewhere. As a result the salads and raw vegetables served with vinaigrettes of various kinds are wonderful. I made a meal of the salad bar and was quite content.

French dinner can last quite a while, but several of us were tired from the day's activities so we finished the meal at around 9:00 pm, and went our separate ways; looking forward to meeting again soon.

Well, this will be my last entry. I was hoping to have updated more than i did, but i also thought i'd have far more internet than i did! Oh well, i think you've all got a picture of what it was like over here and i'm sad and ready to come back. here's a few more pics to leave you with and i'll be sure to let everyone see all 1,000 pictures we took! Tuesday 17th June Alison: We woke early as there was a huge truck drivers strike throughout France that also was affecting the availability of taxi drivers, leading to us needing to catch the Metro to the Gare de Lyon to catch our TGV.
