Day 5 Paris I suddenly sit straight up in bed from a deep sleep. I jump up grab my car keys and run downstairs to look at my car. I had a dream my car had been towed while I was in Paris ! I get to the car and it looks OK, so I guess it really was just a bad dream.. I stand there just looking around thinking... Wow I am in Paris. I feel pretty stupid at this point and head back to my hotel room. Still feeling a little weird. I look out the hotel window again, thinking, maybe I should just go ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France padaleckiDay 6 Paris I wake up early so I can get a good start on my day, however, it is still raining. That is really going to mess up the great pictures I wanted to take today ! I grab my backpack and camera and head out the hotel anyway. I originally plan on using the public transit system here, I have everything memorized and I have been here before, it is pretty easy to navigate Paris with the Metro and RER. PLUS I have a tourist map !! Then I think...Screw that ! I'm taking TAXI's today! I deser...
Paris, France padaleckiDay 7 Paris to Dublin This is my last day in Paris, I was suppose to go to the Eiffel Tower again, but really, I am tired and I am going to sleep in. I am flying to Dublin tonight. I was so tired last night, I got in late, I was wet from the rain. I just want to sleep today. I have been a road warrior this whole trip and I am just tired. This is a pretty boring day because I am not really going to do anything today. I am going to go downstairs and just shop at some of the local shops around h...

... Josh and I are now well practised at saying `non, merci` and walking on! We grabbed some dinner nearby (delicious, but pricey - 55 Euro for the two of us - 5 Euro for a coke!) then back to the tower for nightfall, when i think the tower really looks even more spectacular - we snuck in just before close and walked up the 680 steps to the second level (mild freak out on my behalf, but i got over it, very proud!) - only 5 Euro ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France bronandjosh09... I was only able to see about 3 blocks total.

My choice to come home was a very difficult one and something that I landed on at around 4:30 a.m. There is no question of whether I will be returning or not, but not until I make the needed arrangements so that I am comfortable spending my own money on a trip that I love completely.

I believe that this experience has taught me how NOT to plan a trip and will only make my return that much ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France forgetregret86... we immersed ourselves in her beauty I don't believe we really understood the infatuation, which for us I feel may become a lifelong love. Our love affair with Paris was enhanced by the amazing welcome and hospitality we received from my cousins, only recently discovered. Patrice, Francoise and their daughter Caroline took us to a wonderfully typical 'art deco' style resturant one evening. It was exciting to meet my French cousins. Funnily there are more ...
Paris, France peekayloon... Louvre where we spent a few hours. Saw the Mona Lisa again plus some other things we didn't see last time. Went back to the Champs Elysees tonight to see all the pretty Christmas lights and have just returned from dinner in the Latin Quarter. Still having a wonderful time but we'd definitely forgotten how tiring and expensive these holidays can be. Think we'll sleep well tonight. Will write again soon,
Paris, France karynandbevanBonjour, Left a week ago... direction Paris. Got lost many times in the metro, saw the Eiffel Tour, Versaille, le Louvre and walk every little corner in town! I agree, Paris is a wonderful city to discover. I love it! Time to head to Swiss land tonight. Then, once in Geneva, I will take the scenic train to Gstaad. Thats where im hoping to get some work and get friends with the cows! Talk to you soon, Magali xox
Paris, France mag... Jackson as she looked like his evil twin... very scary!! People in this place are seriously rich and seem to live in their own little bubble... it's a bit sad when you have seen some serious poverty in so many of the neighboring countries. This afternoon we decided to drive into Antibes to catch up with Gem's cousin Annemarie and her husband Jim who have been living their for 2 years working on a super yacht. First of all we had a drive through Nice but not much appealed about it as it ...
Uzes, France gemway... questionable as well. I mean, the hotel itself was ok, but the hookers hanging outside it made it a little bit shady. However, in their defence, they were very nice. They offered us all kinds of things (I believe one was a trip arounnd the workd or something), and called us "sweetie" and "baby". But it seems that our hotel was in front of THE hooker hang out. It was interesting though. Other highlights- I also had a person threaten to kill me on the streets at 5am. I ...
