... room with sun pouring through the windows. Fougeres is a beautiful town - hilly but so pretty with pretty gardens everywhere. We went out for an early evening walk before dinner. As last night we have dinner in the hotel tonight. The dessert we had last night in Combourg was unlike anything I had seen before , just delicious and spectacular . ... mum with a 5-7 year old horror. I would say she was Damion's sister (possessed devil child) - totally defying her mothers requests to behave, yelling at her, kicking and slapping her. Yesterday we traveled to Southern Brittany and visited Vannes then followed the peninsula down via Carnac to Quiberon. We had great weather fine and sunny which ended up 25C which is warmer than usual this time of year according to the locals. People were swimming and windsurfing. Fougeres has a magnificent castle built on the side of the hill sloping down to the river. The builders had used the river to fill the moat and drive four water wheels that remain in use (I guess having been replaced a few times).
