    Weather: Lovely, warm, sunny.
The plan for today was some preparation for Sue's birthday party here on Sunday afternoon. Sue's son Stuart came and helped put up 2 borrowed gazebos in the garden and set up tables in the conservatory. He was here for morning tea and a relaxing lunch. After Stuart left we two girls, with dog Dove went for a short drive to Boddington Reservoir to walk around it, which took about an hour. This reservoir is ...

Weather: Cloudy, mild, Sue says uninteresting!
Checked out of the hotel, but after brief shopping, returned to hotel for luggage, coffee and start blog of yesterday. Underground train to Marylebone, then mainline train to Banbury, arriving 1.45pm. Went through tunnels, past hedging, villages, farms. etc. Sue met me at the station, we went supermarket shopping, then home for ...

... Deciding on the easy option of dining at the resort restaurant , we let Alex and Jan know the plan .Whilst they decided to walk the 4 miles from their accommodation to meet us, we got a hair raising chauffeur ride to dinner on the back of 2 golf carts. Much hilarity over dinner and old friendships assured that everyone got on famously, and took our minds off the C grade cuisine and service at the restaurant. Retired for the evening with more wine and laughter and ...

... Elizabethan house. Well worth the drive and despite the cold a great walk around a property that was designed as pure Elizabethan bling.

Having to stay somewhere we washed up at the Regency Hotel in Leicester. 2 enormous Victorian houses joined together. Has been a convent and our room has 2 stained glass windows.

And we've only been in England a week.
