      ... couple of road signs that said 'Thickly Settled', which I was mystified by (are they talking about my waistline?) It turns out that it means densely populated and you must not drive more than 30 mph. Who knew?

      The end of the day brought us to Mystic, CT. We walked around a bit as the sun was going down, catching some beautiful light and chatting with a road-tripping couple from Seattle. They have a motorhome and are spending a year on the road. I'm envious.

      ... hadn't met on that occasion, Poul might have stayed in the U.S. and become a U.S. citizen.
      After breakfast Sunday morning at the Sheraton we enjoyed a pleasant drive out of New York City and camped in Mystic, Connecticut. It's getting a little chilly in the tent but we are now on our way to another campground in Massachusetts and at least one more night in the tent - but we will have another big campfire tonight!

Luckily we decided to wait it out and after speaking to the doorman again about 15mins later after several couples and groups of girls had arrived and been allowed straight in, we were allowed in. Once inside we saw some people arriving sneakily on paddleboats, if only we had thought of that! Anyway thank goodness we got in as it was awesome.
