... couple of road signs that said 'Thickly Settled', which I was mystified by (are they talking about my waistline?) It turns out that it means densely populated and you must not drive more than 30 mph. Who knew?
The end of the day brought us to Mystic, CT. We walked around a bit as the sun was going down, catching some beautiful light and chatting with a road-tripping couple from Seattle. They have a motorhome and are spending a year on the road. I'm envious.

After breakfast Sunday morning at the Sheraton we enjoyed a pleasant drive out of New York City and camped in Mystic, Connecticut. The conditions for our ferry trip across Gardiners Bay were excellent, blue skies and seas like a mill pond.
