    ... May 1 of the next year. So they close up their cottages, winter proof them and leave by the end of October. She also said the cottages are quite old and most have no insulation so no one would want to spend the winter there. The front row of cottages faces the lake and gets lots of wind so I imagine the winters would be quite cold!
