... and the city behind, as the sun starts to arrive and we encounter our first toll on the 400 highway heading west to Monterrey, our first of around 3000 pesos of tolls, at 40 to 200 pesos each, sometimes coming fast and furious.
True to form, I am leaving these diatribes short and sweet, but more excitement is on the way along the little travelled road of the 40/400 heading west and south towards Mazatlan.

Today we were just casually chilling on our terrace when suddenly all hell broke loose around us, or respectively in the mountains close by. Luckily we were spared and stayed dry, and therefore we all had our cameras out to take some pictures. It took me about 250 pictures, but I managed to snap a few lightnings as well ...
... to walk a few blocks and then got to the Macroplaza. The museum was directly across the Palace of the government, and right were the St. Lucia riverwalk started. The St. Lucia river is an artificial river right in the center of Mty that connects the Macroplaza with the Parque Fundidora, a massive park in the city (that I have not yet been to). On that artificial river people can choose whether to book a spot on a little barge or just to casually stroll along the riversides.
