... Itsa. But definitely worth it. The city was amazing. Chichen Itsa is an old Mayan city. Ancient even. Built 1200 years BC. Slowly built I must add. But all it's occupants disappeared for an unknown reason some 200 years before Columbus. The jungle had reclaimed it, but slowly, the Mexican government is restoring these buildings. We go into the city with our little Mexican tour guide. He was a cool little dude. First stop was the stadium. ...
... were chargrilled and very hot! We sat at our table chatting when a lady came up to us and asked if we spoke English. We said yes and she asked if we were witnesses! We said we were and she said she could tell. She was from America here on holiday for five days with her husband who came over to say hi as well. We had such a lovely morning I'm glad we went out. FYI we might go travelling next month so watch this ...
... There was an over abundance of cream cheese, other types of melted cheese, hot mexican pepper hotter than wasabi to go on it and plenty of Mexican beer. And all sushi was made by, yes you guessed it, real Mexicans. We were not sure what to expect but it was damn good and a much needed change from tacos, chalupas, quesadias and Raman noodles.
