... this. They took us into the kitchen and showed us how their famous dish is made. They have small clay jars specifically made that they put chicken, a ham hock, Chick peas, fat, chorizo and Madrid water into and then put it on the stove top for 4 to 6 hours. They serve the stock as the first course, which is what we had, and then the rest is served as the main course. The stock was to die for and you could taste all the various flavours that had been added.

... 12 in the afternoon, this is good. If I'm lost at any time, this is when it should be.

I started walking to the buses, passing by all the cabbies who were ready to take a poor lost soul to her hostel.

"Death before cabs." I whispered to myself as I trudged on. After my awful 70 euro cab experience in Geneva, I refuse to take cabs alone unless it's an absolute emergency.

I found a bunch of buses, asked around, and no one had any ...

... offered to have him over for dinner, so it was perfect.

Isabel really likes Jonathan. I mean, everyone likes him, but she especially commented on how good-looking he is and how impressive it is he sings and works at Apple and is funny and smart and blah blah blah. Don't get a big head, Jonathan. The rest of us know the truth. :)

It was a great evening of tinto de verano, tortillas, croquetas, and laughter. And next up for tomorrow-- my surprise adventure for Jonathan!
